Outsourcing Commenting

  • Welcome To Smarter Wealth, You can win $150 this month just by commenting on this blog. You can check out details by clicking here

I wrote a post recently about how commenting is the number one method for building up your traffic. I am a strong believe of this an currently about 60+% of my traffic comes from comments I have left on other blogs.

Codrut from LazyBlogger recently asked me if I would recommend outsourcing my blog commenting strategy. This means would I pay for someone else to comment for me so that I can get the same amount of traffic but I work less time (because I pay someone to do the hard yards for me).

This is a really interesting question because as you may know I am getting married and going on my honeymoon soon (Oct 23rd is the BIG DAY!) and this means I will be away for about 3 weeks -1 month and though I will have a blog post lined up for every day I am away I will not be able to spend my time commenting other blogs while I am away so I will lose a lot of my momentum.

For this very reason I am actually considering outsourcing commenting for just one month while I am away so that my blog can continue to build it’s momentum. I think by doing this I will take in a loss (it will cost me more than I make) but I am more concerned about the momentum because blogs tend to grow exponentially.

So I cannot write a post about how it is a good or a bad idea because I have never done it before. But I am going to ask if anyone would like to be a commentor for me? You will need to work a short period everyday and comment on around 20-40 blogs when each of them has a new blog post.

I will pay $0.10 for every single comment you do (one comment per new post) and I will pay you $0.50 if your comment lands in the top 3 comments for that blog. So if you get in the top 3 for everything then you can be making $50 for just 100 posts! Talk about an opportunity.

You will start on the 23rd of October and finish around the 21st of November and I expect comments on every single post of the specific blogs I choose.

Comments that land below the top 20 I will only pay $0.05 for. So the quicker you do it the more money you make (and the more exposure for me).

So if anyone is interesting you could make a couple of hundred dollars in a month just by commenting for me then contact me. If not I will go to digitalpoint forums to find someone (but I would much rather reward one of my readers).

So email me using my contact form if you are interested.

I hope you are putting a cap on total amount you are willing to spend, or this could cost you lots! ;)

Be careful with this method. Be sure that they can write well and post useful comments on whatever the post is about.

Wouldn’t want someone to contradict all that you are about and jeopardize your site. Just be careful in who you choose!

I agree with Jack. I think quality would be just as important as quantity. I would be careful to just have someone hurriedly post a comment just to be in the top 3 and move on and that comment be totally meaningless.

You might consider making a budget cap. Say you would like comments on up to 40 blogs per day. So, you can add the stipulation that you will pay for 1 comment per blog (according to your scale based on position) per day up to a maximum of 40. That means that you would pay no more than $20 per day if the person is in the top 3 for every comment and comments on 40 blogs.

Then you might also want to set a minimum for the person to get paid. Say, they must comment on at least 10 blogs for the day to get paid at all for that day.

    Hey Ryan,

I think you should go to the Digital Point Forum, and look for a couple of indian forum/blog comment posters. I’m sure you could find a couple of guys who would do your blog commenting tasks for $0.08-0.10. Of course you’d have to test the applicants for one week or so, to see how they work etc.

    Married?

    Bro, how old are you?

Eh, who am I kiddin’, age ain’t nothing but a number.

    Go get em’ tiger!

The opportunity, however, doesn’t sound like music to my ears.

I don’t think I’ll ever comment on 100 blogs in a week, let alone a day.

However, I don’t think commenting is the best way to build traffic.

I barely do it, and I get over 400 daily uniques.

I comment on like 10 blogs LOL!

I’m too lazy to go comment-crazy.

Hmmm… I don’t know if this is a great approach. (i also haven’t tried it though)

I think the goal should be to try and increase the natural traffic ie from google etc. maybe try write some more unique content that will get good search rankings.

Of course commenting is such a great way to promote but if you did want to sell (I know you don’t like flipping now) you would want to say that the traffic is from the content and not hours of time spent on promotion each day.

Congrats on the Marriage, Ryan! That is awesome!

I have been married 7 short years to a wonderful woman that still brings be breakfast in bed, in the office, or on the back patio just because. I love to eat, LOL!

As for the commenting, that is tempting, but I am busy comment on every blog I see thanks to your lead and example. LOL!

Don’t do it Ryan. You will lose credibility. It’s not worth it. Grow your blog slowly, the natural way. Take time off for your wedding and come back a new man. But don’t sell yourself.

Are you sure this is a good idea? What if the comments are of poor quality? What if they contradict your own opinions? What if someone gets into a war of words in your name? You could do a lot of damage to your reputation and have very little to gain. I’d think about it carefully before taking the risk.

The more and more I am commenting (been going strong for the past 7 days) I am notice the burden and work involved. Outsourcing this elements seems tempting, but I have to ad that doing this has taught me a lot about this business.

I have been reading these blogs that I am commenting on and man, the level of information I have been receiving is outstanding.

So, at least for the next few weeks or months, I am sure that I will be commmenting on my own for the dual benefit of knowledge and link backs.

Unless, Ryan’s new ebook is going to show me a better plan.

Looking forward to the ebook, Ryan!

outsourcing commenting is a great idea but you need to be wary of the fact that you might have a bad reputation if the person who comments on ur behalf doesnt post good comments
