  • Become Rich by Finding Your Passion
    By Ryan on March 31, 2008 | 7 Comments7 Comments Comments

Welcome To Smarter Wealth, You can win $150 this month just by commenting on this blog. You can check out details by clicking here

“Find something you like to do so much that you’d gladly do it for nothing, and if you learn to do it well, someday people will be happy to pay you for it.”

I would like to point out an interesting fact to you which I found in John Maxwell’s book “Talent is Never Enough.”

Authors Robert J. Kriegel and Louis Patler cite a study of 1,500 people over twenty years that shows how passion makes a significant difference in a persons career:

At the outset of the study, the group was divided into Group A, 83 percent of the sample, who were embarking on a career chosen for the prospects of making money now in order to do what they wanted later, and Group B, the other 17 percent of the sample, who had chosen their career path for the reverse reason, they were going to pursue what they wanted to do now and worry about the money later.
The data showed some startling revelations:

    • At the end of 20 years, 101 of the 1,500 had become millionaires
    • Of the millionaires, all but one - 100 out of 101 - were from Group B! The group that had chosen to pursue what they loved.

These days almost everyone lives for money. People work in jobs that they hate just because they pay better than other options which are around at the time. A great example of this is my sister. She works in a job she doesn’t really love just because she gets paid to do it. She doesn’t look forward to her days or weeks and time is just passing her by. She has great potential but she is owrking outside of her passion.

Money is a big motivator for people. If a job comes with a big paycheck then they are much more likely to jump for it. In a world where money can buy you everything are we selling out?

I would like to propose to you something far more valueable than money and how it can make you more money.

    Your Passion

Doing what you love to do week in week out and seeing a positive difference because of it, I believe, is worth far more than money can buy. Don’t sell out 40 hours of your week doing something you hate, rather spend those 40 hours doing something you love and as the quote says at the start learn to do it well.

I have a passion. I am passionate about communication and specifically communication of Jesus Christ. I am currently studying at Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney and therefore cannot work full time. I do not have to experience or platform to be able to enter into full time ministry yet, though I do have that dream one day.

I am choosing to pursue a career based on my passion not on the money. But I can’t get a career now because I am studying so what do I do?

I want to encourage you today to begin to be creative with how to sell your passion. I love communicating so at the moment I am writing a book in my spare time and I also communicate by blogging. I am using a creative way to sell my passion. I am still training and not good enough to be paid to speak to crowds or to write award winning books. I am in that stage of development. But just because you might be in that stage of development doesn’t mean that your passion can’t make you any money of the side.

If you passion is surfing, enter competitions and get sponsors. Make videos of yourself to show to sponsors and to put on youtube. If you love writing but can’t get a book published then try blogging while you are writing your next book and make money from advertising and donations.

If you passion is music and your band has quite hit the big time start teaching music to make some money. Record songs and use myspace to get your music out there.

If you love cabinet making but you don’t have your own business yet then start making cabinets and selling them on ebay.

These are just a few ideas to get you thinking. The main point I am trying to get across is this. There are creative ways you can sell your passion while you are still developing it. You may not get as much as you ultimately want in the future but hey you are still getting better. If you find creative ways to make money off your passion it can release you more and more time to work on that passion and get better at it.

  • The 90% Principle
    By Ryan on March 31, 2008 | 2 Comments2 Comments Comments

My sister was sick at home yesterday and was watching Oprah on TV and Oprah said something profound. She said that you should only have 90% of what you need in your life so you can attract the other 10%. Your life should never be 100% full. If your life is 100% full with what you have now it can never get better because their is no room for change or no room for improvement. What you need to do is implement the 90% principle into your life, so you are constantly making your life bigger and better by never being 100% full. If your life is 90% full then you can constantly attract another BETTER 10% to your life. The 90% Principle involves a constant stripping away of the bottom 10% of your life and replacing it with the top 10%. If you continually do this you will continually improve and your life will go upwards and you will be successful.

By doing this I believe you can attract wealth, riches, relationships and opportunities galore.

So how do you do this?
You need to constantly be giving and getting rid of.
A lot of people hate giving away 10% of their income the charity because they feel they need that 10% to live off. Or they want that 10% to buy shoes or a new phone or a new car. But they don’t realise that by storing up that 10% they are actually limiting the impact, the purpose and most importantly the potential of their life.
You may not be religious, you may not go to church, you may not agree with the word tithe and the giving of the first 10% to the church, but it doesn’t have to just apply to church it can apply to every aspect of your life.
    Look at this saying
Bring the whole tithe (10%) into the storehouse, that there may been food in my house (charity/church). Test me in this says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it”

This is a verse from the bible found in Malchi 3:10 and although it is from the bible (which you may not believe) it holds a timeless principle. The 90% principle.

Give and it will be given back to you. Some call it Karma, some say you reap what you sow but the fact is if you give it will be given back to you greater.

A river is a place of life. It is constantly receiving water and giving water away, animals and plants can live in the river and flourish there. The dead sea however receives water but never gives any water away. There is no outlet. The result of this is that almost nothing can survive in the dead sea because there is no outlet. In the same way a stagnant lagoon or lake will eventually turn into a swamp because their is not that flow of giving and receiving.

If it is true for rivers it is also true for your life.

You need to be constantly giving. Although this can be hard (because we are very consumer and very greedy people by nature) we need to do it. There is always someone that is worse off than us and we need to be the people that help them. Don’t always look to receive but look to give. Be a channel of blessing, let money flow through you not stop at you. Release your money to the poor and constantly make that sacrifice and you will find that money will come your way because you know how to use it unselfishly.

    So:

    • Give away 10% of your income so you can be open to receive more.
    • Give to people who are more needy than yourself
    • Know that if you give it will be given back to you larger
    • Constantly get rid of the bottom 10% and add a new better 10% to your life

My dad is a perfect example of all this. The other day he gave $2 to an asian man who had no coins to pay for the parking meter. That SAME DAY he found $10 on the ground and instantly gave it to his father who he was with. He will receive great blessing. He is a great example of generosity.

Also don’t let your life be so full of junk that you can’t fit anything else into your life. Oprah says that everything needs to have a place where it lives. That means in your house, your room or your office everything needs a place to go otherwise it will get messy and overwhelm you.

Make sure you only have 90% of all the STUFF you need so you always have 10% room for more stuff. It is now spring (in Australia) so do a big spring clean. Here are some great ideas for getting rid of junk

    • Just throw it out

Just chuck out stuff that is useless pointless and just taking up space in your life.

    • Give it away

Give it to a charity, a friend, someone less fortunate, a business or someone anyone who you think could use it. Just get rid of it

    • Sell it on ebay

The junk that is clogging up your life and stopping you from being successful could be worth a few dollar (or maybe even more than a few). Why not sell it on ebay (or at a garage sale). People will buy anything on ebay these days and there is more than likely a person who wants to buy what you want to get rid of. SO SELL IT! Then use the money to buy one good thing you want, or give the money away.

I am currently selling my junk on ebay so I can use the money to buy a new phone/guitar which I badly need.

    Some other tips

    • Stay tidy

Spend a few moments everyday cleaning the areas you live and work in. It will allow you to think clearer, work better and live life happier

    • Spend less and save more

We are so consumer these days. If you spend less of useless junk (or stuff that will be useless in a month) save up your money to invest for the future or to buy one great item that will not be useless.

    • Write Things Down

Apply the 90% principle to your mind as well as your physical surroundings. If your mind is full where are you going to fit the new ideas that are going to flow out of your life. Get a pad, or a laptop, or a smartphone and write down your thought. Make them flow through your mind onto paper. If you write them down you are 10 times more likely to do them/develop the ideas. So get writing and make room in your mind for even greater ideas to come.

Hope all this helps. Please leave feedback

  • Why Winning The Lottery Isn’t The Best Way To Become a Millionaire
    By Ryan on March 31, 2008 | 8 Comments8 Comments Comments

Some people spend their entire lives waiting for their number to come up. They spend hundreds of dollars per week or month on gambling with little or no real result. They wish to themselves “If only I could win big once….then my life would be so much better”. They use gambling as an excuse not to find other ways of earning more money, or finding better ways to invest their money.

Yet winning the lottery (if you can do it) is still not the best way to become a millionaire. It may be an easy way…but it is definately not the best way. Firstly a high percentage of those that do win the lottery actually end up worse off in 5-10 years time. Worse off after winning over $1,000,000??? But how is that possible? They are worse off because they do not have the capacity to hold over $1,000,000 for a long period of time.

There is a saying that says “You first $1,000,000 is harder than your next $10,000,000″. It can be hard to get up to the million dollar mark, but by learning and applying yourself you can increase your capactiy to earn more money and hence become a millionaire. Then once you become a millionaire (which may take a few years) you have the capacity to not just hold that $1,000,000 but the earn another $10,000,000.

By doing the hard yards early on you can learn how to make more money, how to invest your money better and how to become extremely wealthy. However, if you simply win the lottery then you will never learn how to make more money (and residual money that requires no work), you will never learn how to properly invest your money and you will never learn how to become extremely wealthy.

    The result??

In 5 years your $1,000,000 which you won will be gone and you will be in a worse financial state than when you started.

Don’t try to win the lottery in order to become a millionaire but rather follow these steps.

    • Educate Yourself

Educate yourself in money making and money investing. Click Here for a great place to start getting some education about making residual income online.

Learn how to make more money and learn how to invest your money well and you will become extremely wealthy.

    • Outwork What You Have Learnt

Then the hardest part of the process and that is taking risks and outworking what you have learnt. This may involve starting a business or a website, or it may involve taking the step to invest in real estate or the stock market.

I took the step to invest into some websites and I am now reaping the benifits of my $400 risk. Outwork what you have learn or you will simply get no where

  • The Power of Tithing - Becoming a Millionaire Before you Turn 30
    By Ryan on March 31, 2008 | 3 Comments3 Comments Comments

I have a dream to become a millionaire before I turn 30. In this post and upcoming posts within the category “Become A Millionaire” I will be sharing with you hints and tips of how to become a millionaire before you turn 30 (or 40 or 50 or whatever your goal is….for me it is 30).

If you want to become a millionaire by the time you turn 30 you need to tap into a resource known to many as tithing. Tithing is a giving of 10% of all your increase away. For some they give 10% to the local church and to God, for other’s they give 10% to a charity or some sort of not for profit organisation.

For me personally I am a christian and thus I will speak of tithing in relation to God. If you do not believe in God then whenever you see the word God simply replace it with “The Universe”.

Call it Karma, or call it the principle of sowing a reaping, whatever you call it tithing taps into an unseen resource. I know you might be thinking right now “What is with all this spiritual talk, how is this going to teach me to be a millionaire by the time I am 30?” but don’t disengage now, your answers will come and you may find your life 100% changed from reading this post.

If you invested into the stock market would you be happy to earn 15% return on your investment? I would. Would you be happy to earn 50% on your investment? What about 100%. What if you could earn 30, 60 or 100 times the amount you invested. Wouldn’t that please you.

If you put in $1,000 would you be happy to earn from that $30,000; $60,000 or $100,000? Well this is what the principle of tithing does for you. It says in the bible.

Mat 13:8 But some seeds fell in good soil, and the plants bore grain: some had one hundred grains, others sixty, and others thirty.

    It also says

“Mat 19:29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake, will receive a hundred times more and will be given eternal life. “If you want to receive 100 fold on your investments then you need to begin to tithe

So begin to become a tither and a generous person yand you will see that money AND MORE come back into your life.

  • Getting Rid of Your Demons
    By Ryan on March 31, 2008 | 4 Comments4 Comments Comments

One of the biggest things you will be taught when it comes to becoming a millionaire is that you need to remove your old bad habits and ways of thinking and you need to replace them with new habits and new ways of thinking.

In order to become a millionaire you need to remove your demons that are stopping you achieving your ultimate goal. These demons show themselves in different ways. They can be distractions, unethical behaviour, self detrimental behaviour, negetive thoughts or many other things which are going to create a blockade between you and your ultimate dream of becoming a millionaire. You need to get rid of these demons if you want to succeed.

    • Recognise The Demon
    • Tell It To Be Gone
    • Live Differently
    • Reinforce New Patterns
  • Become a Millionaire In 12 Months - Go For it 100%
    By Ryan on March 31, 2008 | 6 Comments6 Comments Comments

If you want to become a millionaire in 12 months then you have got to give this thing your all. You have to give your business ventures 100% of what you can, in fact you need to give life 100% of what you can.

Often so many people spend their money on purchasing teaching on how to become a millionaire (or at least extremely wealthy) and yet they never intend on doing anything about it. They just wish that by buying the material and listening to it in their car then they will automatically become millionaires. Well I am sorry to break it to you but life does NOT work like that.

You reap what you sow. If you sow (plant) good seed and lots of it and if you sow it in good soil then you will reap a massive harvest. But if you sow small amounts of bad seed in bad soil then you will get a bad harvest.

So many people complain about the life they have yet they never even think about looking at what they are sowing. Are you sowing well?

Here is what you need to think about in order to reap 100%.

    • Get Good Seed

The first thing you need to do is to get good seed. You can plant as much seed as you want, but if all you are planting are seeds that grow weeds then you are going to reap a harvest full of weeds. You need to sow good seed in order to get a good harvest.

Here is how you get good seed.

You learn, you learn some more, teach people what you have learnt then you learn some more. You need to be continually learning. What is the difference between someone who is a laborer and earns $30,000/year and someone who owns a business and earns over $1,000,000 per year. It is not how hard they work, but how smart. You can work smarter if you have learnt how to work smarter.

This is what good seed is. Good seed is working smarter…not harder. So keep learning how to make money in different ways and how to best work so you can earn the maximum profits. Click Here to check out a great opportunity to learn about making multiple streams of income online.

    • Plant Lots of Good Seed

Now it is no good having great seed if you only have a handful of seed. What you need are truckloads of this good seed. Then the more you plant the more you reap. This is the same with making money and it is called “Multiple Streams of Income”

Multiple streams of income is when you earn income from many different things. Your day job may be one ’stream’ of income, but you may have other streams of income also such as an online business, property investments, stock market investments etc.

The best streams of income are known as ‘Residual Streams of Income’. Residual streams of income are streams in which you don’t have to do much (or anything at all) in order for the money to come in. There is usually an initial period where you work hard and then an extended period where the money continues to come in.

An example of residual income is when someone writes a song and sells their cd worldwide. They worked hard with no income at the beginning while writing their song but then everytime their song is sold they make some money for years to come.

So get lots of seed, get multiple streams of income

    • Plant it in Good Soil

If you have good seed and lots of it but yet you plant it in bad soil, then you will reap no harvest.

Planting your seed in good soil means you need to market your product to the right people. This comes through testing. But think about who would want to buy your product and market to those people specifically.

    • Give It Lots of Water

If you want to be extremely wealthy then don’t spend everything you earn. Put some (if not all) back into your business or into investments.

You can water your business by paying for advertising…start small and then as your make money from your advertising pour that profit back into more advertising to make more money.

Or you can put your money into investments such as the stock market or real estate. You can earn up to 20% fairly easily with some training.

Imagine earning 20% per year on $1,000,000. Thats $200,000 for doing little to nothing.

    So keep saving and investing.

    • Harvest When The Timing is Right

Take your money out only when you need it. Avoid unessicary debt (like credit card debt) and try to buy things for wholesale price not full price.

Do these small steps and do them 100% and you could easily reap a great harvest

  • Start With Your Passion
    By Ryan on March 24, 2008 | 6 Comments6 Comments Comments

When you set out to make money online it is easy to get so caught up in making money that you forget about what you love.

When I first started trying to make money online in the beginning of 2006 I started a website www.impactrevolution.com.

I had no idea what I was going to write about, nor did I have a passion driving what I was doing. After just 2 months of blogging on that website about anything and everything I stopped. That lack of money that was coming in made me give up. The site was a guaranteed failure from the beginning. I had no passion driving what I was doing…all i wanted to do was to make some money (and I didn’t even really know how to do that).

Now I have done the rounds and I have learnt a fair bit about trying to make money online. I have started and ended over 20 failed blogs and websites and realised that without passion driving what you do you are guaranteed to fail.

I am now the proud owner of www.foolswealth.com which is my first website driven by the passion I have to see people succeed financially. It took me over a year to find out what I was passionate about and to apply that to my online business. I am now the proud owner of a thriving and growing website and everyday I look forward to going to work because I get to do what I love to do…and that is teach people how to improve their financial situation.

So how do you discover your passion so that you can use it to drive your money making ventures?

    • Choose passion over money

This is definately the first step in discovering your passion. So many people start by deciding they want to make a lot of money, not that they want to do something significant. Their passion therefore gets shoved down into darkness because it gets in the way of their money making ventures. The more they go after money the more they lose their passion and get lost in their job.

So firstly choose passion over money

“Find your obession, make it your proffession and you will never work another day again”

    • Write a list of the things you love to do

Start with a simple list. Write down everything you can think of that you love to do. Everything that is a passion, or that you think could become a passion.

Don’t be selective, write down everything you can think of (this shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes)

    • Cross of the ones you couldn’t dedicate your life to

Once you have written down all the things you love or could love then begin to cross off the ones you don’t love ALOT. For example, something I enjoy is soccer. But I crossed it off my list because I didn’t think I could dedicate my life to soccer, it wasn’t a thriving passion.

Cross off all the ones you couldn’t dedicate your life to. You should be left with only a few

    • Choose one passion that you love the most

Carefully select the passion that you love the most. If you outwork what you love the most you can easily become rich, so choose your favourite one and decide to work your career around that passion. For me it was finances, and that led to me starting a website to help people with their finances.

Yours can be whatever you want

    • Base your business and life around that ultimate passion

I have said this above, and I will say it again. Base your business around this passion.

“Find your obsession, make it your profession and you will never have to work another day again”

  • What You Need To Know About Making Money With Online Paid Surveys
    By Ryan on March 18, 2008 | 8 Comments8 Comments Comments

It is possible to make money by answering questions for online paid surveys. There are three basic kinds of surveys you may be asked to participate in:

    1. Sweepstakes surveys where your name will be entered into a drawing for cash or a prize after you finish answering the questions

    2. Surveys that ask you to try a product and comment on it. With this type of survey, you will probably receive a sample in the mail and be asked to fill in a list of questions about your experience.

    3. Surveys that pay in cash or gift certificates. Once you complete the survey, you receive the reward from the company.

How to Qualify for Better Paying Surveys

If you are interested in participating in online surveys as a way to make some extra money, there are a few steps you need to follow to increase your chances of being asked to participate in the more lucrative ones.

    1. Register with several survey companies.

There are many companies that have paid online surveys. By signing up with a number of them, you increase your chances of being offered surveys that interest you and that pay reasonably well.

    2. Fill out your profile completely.

Survey companies often need to gather information from certain demographic groups. When you fill out your profile in detail, you can help the company determine which surveys you will be qualified to participate in.

    3. Complete all the surveys you are invited to participate in.

Any employer (and you could consider the survey company to be one) appreciates having people work for them that they can rely on. When you fill in all the surveys that are sent to you, you establish yourself as someone they can count on. Over time, this may help you qualify for better (and better paying) surveys.

    4. Set up a separate e-mail account for your paid survey invitations.

Once you are signed up with paid survey companies, you will be receiving survey invitations from them on a regular basis. You wouldn’t want to miss any of these opportunities; when you sign up with these companies, give them the e-mail account you have designated for your paid survey activities.

    5. Use software to help you fill in online forms.

RoboForm is a software program that allows users to save personal information, including passwords, to be used when filling out online forms. If you are filling out a number of forms for paid survey programs, then you may want to consider using a program like RoboForm to make the process a bit easier.

By keeping these suggestions in mind, you will find taking online paid surveys enjoyable and profitable as well!

  • Be A Millionaire Before 30
    By Ryan on March 12, 2008 | 7 Comments7 Comments Comments
I have a dream. I want to be a millionaire before I turn 30. I am 20 right now and have a net worth of under $100,000. I am not a millionaire yet, but I believe that I have the vision within me and the tools in order to become a millionaire before I am 30.
I want to have a total net worth of over $1 million by the time I am 30. You may be asking me…how are you going to achieve that?
And my response to you would be this…”I’m not 100% sure as of yet, but I know it will involve a fair bit of sacrifice, a lot of investment, a lot of creativity, a lot of training and a some hart work. I know that I am going to make my first $1,000,000 on the internet and that I am going to write books and give speeches.”You can’t expect to become a millionaire overnight. Winning the lottery and getting millions overnight is overrated. It happens to very few people and the majority of people who win the lottery end up being worse off because they don’t spend their money wisely.

So what are may tips for right now? What can you do right now to set yourself on the way to becoming a millionaire before you are 30 (or 50 or 40 or 25 or whatever your goal is)

    • Start Learning

Increasing your knowledge and being continually open to learning is the one thing that will get you over the line to become a millionaire before you are 30. Right now you are not smart enough, wise enough and you don’t know enough to be able to make that sort of capital to become a millionaire so you need to learn. You need to learn from those who have done it and those that are doing it.

You need to learn about finance, about investment and different sorts of investment. You need to learn about making money and how you can make more and more money by using your talent and your skill. You need to be constantly learning about what millionaire do, how they became millionaires and what they had to pay to get there.

    • Be Disciplined

Know it will not be easy, you need to be dedicated and disciplined to learning and achieving. Start the discipline to day of expanding your thinking through learning. Read though the many posts on this blog, and visit back regularily to see the updated information that will be supplied here. Read books, find time to outwork what you are learning. Be disciplined in learning and outworking.

    • Do What you Love

I honestly believe that although money is a great motivator you ultimately need to be doing what you love. They did a study of 1500 over 20 and some chose the career path based on the income so they could do what they want later, others chose to do what they loved now and worry about the money later. Those who chose to do what they loved became millionaires, those who chose money first did not become millionaires. So choose to do what you love to do.

    • Set Goals and Have Dreams

You need to know where you want to be going in the short term and in the long term so that you can be constantly pushed to achieve. Set short term and long term goals that will set you on your way to becoming a millionaire by the time you are 30.

Don’t be afraid to fail. Although my ultimate goal is to earn $1,000,000 in the next 12 months, I would be extremely disappointed if I did not earn at least $10,000 this year. So I have a goal of $10,000 first and then if I reach that I can go for the $1,000,000.

Hope all this helps. Please leave feedback. Set in your heart right now that you want to aim to be a millionaire before you are 30. Trust that you have the ability to achieve it and go for it. • Coach Carter Speech - Our Deepest Fear Is Not That We Are Inadequate
    By Ryan on March 12, 2008 | 5 Comments5 Comments Comments

This “Our Deepest Fear in Not That We Are Inadequate” speech can be found on the movie Coach Carter, but it was originally spoken by Nelson Mandella in 1994.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?Actually who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightening about shrinking so other people won’t feel insecure around you.I discovered this speech while watching the movie Coach Carter which is without a doubt one of my favourite movies. It is inspiration and it pumped me up to be all that I can be. I hope that it pumps you up to be all that you can be in every area of your life.

We were born to manifest the Glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some; it’s in all, everyone. And as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

    Nelson Mandela, 1994 Inaugural Speech

I chose this speech as the starting post of my website “Fool’s Wealth” because I believe there is a power in this speech that resonates within everyone. Everyone wants to be something great and do something great, but often the troubles of life stop us from ever stepping out to be all that you can be.

I believe that everyone of us can be wealthy and with this wealth we can change the world for the better. But often we are so scared at losing wealth that we never step out to get it. I believe you don’t have to have a degree to be wealthy, you don’t have to have an IQ of 150 to be wealthy, heck you don’t even have to have a highschool education and you can be wealthy.

We so often don’t want to take risks because we are afraid of looking like fools. Well I’ve got some news for you…you are all fools anyway. Everyone stuffs up, everyone is a fool (even me). So stop worrying about looking like a fool because the only fool is the person who does nothing.

So in this site I am endevour to teach each and every fool the secrets to making a million dollars and becoming wealthy. I also intend to teach each person not to be a greedy and selfish person but be be generous with their wealth in such a way that they can make a lasting positive impact on the world in which we live in.

So if you want to be wealthy, but never thought you had what it takes, then let me teach you. Any fool can become wealthy, I am going to show you how.
